In the 1950s, the Japanese pump industry was highly competitive, and the high temperature and high pressure feed pumps used in thermal power stations have been regarded as the peak representative products of the bottleneck of the entire pump manufacturing industry. Trained as an engineer, ITO Morikawa is an employee who likes to challenge himself, is rigorous and focused, and constantly innovates. At that time, he seized the opportunity to start: ITO Machinery Office (later renamed: Morikawa Sakuko Co., LTD.), and began to work on the design and research of feed pumps for thermal power stations.

During the global energy crisis between 1972 and 1977, Mr. ITO Morikawa also began to develop energy-efficient and efficient water pumps. At the same time, in 1972, Japan's Mitsubishi used rare earth materials to produce the first generation of permanent magnet synchronous traction motors with a high energy efficiency of 30%, and then applied to the Shinkansen, making Japan's Shinkansen a beautiful national business card.

In 1982, designed and produced the first batch of efficient and quiet self-priming pumps, which aroused a lot of waves in the household pump industry.

In 1990, ITO Machinery Office moved to a factory in Shibuya, Tokyo, and gradually expanded its business. In 2004, the water pump products produced by ITO Machinery Office were very popular in Japan, especially household water pumps. In 2010, in the most prosperous Tokyo, the company changed its name to "Morikawa Sakuko Co., LTD." and began to promote it under the brand name "Morikawa".

In 2013, Morikawa produced the world's most advanced ultra-efficient permanent magnet synchronous motor, the energy efficiency level has exceeded today's IE5, and invested a lot of money in the research and development of energy-saving, efficient, healthy and intelligent permanent magnet pump for high-end household water supply. In 2017, considering that nearly 90% of the world's rare earths were produced in China, rare earths are also the core materials of ultra-efficient permanent magnet motors. Morikawa and Xiling Shares have reached an initial cooperation intention, and Morikawa will enter the Chinese market by means of technical support and brand authorization. In 2020, based on the "spirit of craftsmanship" and "spirit of innovation", Morikawa has perfectly brought advanced permanent magnet synchronous motor pumps to Chinese consumers, which has been widely praised in the Chinese market, and has set up a number of branches in China.
